Empire International Food Corp was established in 1985 by Mr. Hee Tan and Mr. Sunarto Ruski with the aim of introducing authentic Indonesian cuisine to the expanding community of Indonesian, Dutch, and Asian immigrants in California.
As the years went by, the company experienced remarkable growth and expanded its reach to supply Indonesian food throughout the United States and Canada. Their distribution services extended to both the East and West Coasts, and they curated a diverse range of Indonesian brands that were eager to establish a presence in North America.
Today, Empire International remains a critical channel partner for Asian brands, providing a high level of service to a wide range of customers, from local ethnic markets to large retail chains across North America. With a portfolio of over 450 brands, Empire International continues to focus on growth not only within the Asian food market but also beyond.
Empire International was instrumental to the story of helping Indonesia's multinational brands, like Indomie instant noodles, to gain traction in the main stream U.S. market. Today, Empire International represents major brands from all over South East Asia and Europe, such as Ayam Brand, Heinz ABC, The Golden Duck, Sido Muncul, Eagle Brand, Indocafe, Intrafood, Garudafoods, and many more.
Our mission is to act as a bridge between the ethnic Indonesian and Asian markets in North America, connecting them with the beloved brands from overseas. We are dedicated to establishing brand awareness, driving growth, and representing our brands in the best possible way.
